In the early 90s, Life of Agony was a pure hardcore metal band. With their debut album, »River Runs Red«, they built a loyal fan base by touring non-stop and doing word of mouth, without much MTV or radio airplay. On their second album, 1995's »Ugly«, the band took a different musical path - fusing their hardcore with the melodic alternative rock of Stone Temple Pilots and Alice In Chains. The long-time fans and the audience that bought the records were in a mild mood, and the group was now faced with a new dilemma: should they stay true to their new musical direction or adapt to their fans' expectations of what Life of Agony's music should sound like? The group decided to do what their hearts told them to do on »Soul Searching Sun«. »Soul Searching Sun« is available on black vinyl and includes a 6-page booklet.
