Lucrecia Dalt is a prolific and boundless musician, performer, composer and sound artist who challenges both genre and form by taking apart familiar elements of pop and experimental music and reassembling them in unexpected ways. With her highly acclaimed album »¡Ay!« from 2022, she made her breakthrough with a wider audience. Dalt has also made a name for herself as a composer for film and television, including her original film score for the HBO series "The Baby" and the Cannes 2024 award-winning feature film "On Becoming a Guinea Fowl". With »cosa rara«, her new single, mixed, produced and featuring a rare guest appearance by cult music legend David Sylvian, the theme of one's own self becomes an unlikely infatuation. » "cosa rara" is a bold return from Dalt, distilling the heights of love and translating them sonically with production precision and hyper-focused clarity, inviting the listener on an exciting escapade of sound and psychology. The B-side of the 7" features Mabe Fratti's "cosa rara (en la playa)" version, a ghostly version of the same song produced and sung by Fratti, as well as a 7" exclusive, extended version by Matias Aguayos, "cosa rara (dopamine dub)". Mixed by Sylvian and mastered by Heba Kedry, the 7" is a one-off pressing limited to 500 copies.
