Manowar is an American heavy metal band from Auburn, New York. Formed in 1980, the group is known for lyrics based on fantasy and mythology, as well as numerous songs that celebrate the genre and its core audience. In 1984, the band was entered into the Guinness Book of World Records for the loudest performance, a record they have since broken twice. "The Hell of Steel: Best of Manowar" is a compilation album released in 1994 by Atlantic Records. It contains 14 tracks from their albums released under Atlantic (Fighting the World, Kings of Metal, and The Triumph of Steel). The song "Herz Aus Stahl" is a German version of the title "Heart of Steel." The Hell of Steel compilation is now available on black vinyl. Death to fake metal.
