Mobb Deep are among the most influential duos in hip-hop and are considered pioneers of East Coast rap. Now, their new and final album, "Infinite," is being released.

Since the early 1990s, MCs Prodigy and Havoc have been active together as Mobb Deep, selling millions of albums and creating several milestones in the genre. Just recently, their 1995 album "The Infamous" was named the best hip-hop album of all time by the renowned online portal Pitchfork.

Sadly, Prodigy passed away in June 2017, which is why Mobb Deep ceased to exist. At least until now. Havoc has completed his legendary bandmate's final recordings and created a fitting musical legacy with "Infinite." Not a half-baked collection of leftovers, but a new, full-fledged Mobb Deep album, featuring Prodigy on every track and even contributing several of the hooks.

Help came from, among others, longtime collaborator The Alchemist, who has also worked with artists like Eminem and Earl Sweatshirt. He has been collaborating regularly with the duo since the late nineties and contributes to the fact that "The Infinite" sounds both old-school and timeless. Like a Mobb Deep album that could have been released ten or twenty years ago. Furthermore, friends and legends such as Nas, Big Noyd, Jorja Smith, and Wu-Tang Clan rappers Raekwon and Ghostface Killah pay their final respects to the New York duo.
