Modern Baseball didn't record alone this time; they enlisted Joe Reinhart (Hop Along, Joyce Manor) at Headroom Studios in Philadelphia, who helped them redefine their trademark sound. This sound was further shaped by co-songwriters Jacob Ewald and Brendan Lukens, who wrote separately this time, giving the album a more emotionally charged dynamic.
