Niedeckens BAP Lifetime CD New
Lifelong for Niedecken's BAP »Lebenslänglich« is the name of the new album by Niedecken's BAP. With their 18th studio album, Wolfgang Niedecken and Co. celebrate their 40th anniversary in 2016. The band gave a first impression of the new album in November 2015 with the single »Absurdistan«. Niedecken was inspired by a photo from the Süddeutsche Zeitung showing the ruins of the last Gaza war. According to the singer, the song is a "cry of despair" that deals with the current political situation in the Middle East. »Absurdistan« has already caused some discussion among the band's fan base, as the singer switches between popular Kölsch and High German in the song. » "Life sentence" is otherwise pure BAP. The songs are about personal life experiences, observations, retrospectives, politics, society and much more. The band dresses all this sometimes in acoustic and then again in rock garments. BAP were supported by Calexico trumpeter Martin Wenk and Von Brücke singer Nicholas Müller. The production of the album was taken care of by the BAP musicians Anne de Wolff and Ulrich Rode. For mixing, they went to producer Stewart Lerman in New York. The result is an album with a total of 14 songs, for which there will also be a comprehensive BAP tour from May 2016. »Lebenslänglich« is available as a standard CD, LP and as a Limited Deluxe Edition. This includes the album on CD plus a DVD with the ZDF Bauhaus concert and the recording of "WIR. vote for refugees" of 11 October 2015. In addit
