Product description

Planlos X, the band known as Planlos in East Germany from 1980 to 1983, present their new single together with their longtime friends, Die Toten Hosen. 7" vinyl single in a cardboard sleeve with two special printing colors, a printed insert, and a download code on a major label.

Planlos are icons of East German punk rock. Their lyrics were politically explicit and possessed a haunting poetry. Hardly any other band embodied the charisma of early 1980s East Berlin punk to such an extent. The band performed exclusively illegally. In 1983, Planlos played a highly clandestine concert with Die Toten Hosen at the Erlöserkirche (Church of the Redeemer) in Berlin-Rummelsburg, which, in addition to the ARD documentary "Auswärtsspiel" (Away Game, 2022), led to a lasting friendship and further joint performances. With the A-side "Marianne," Planlos pay tribute to the East German punk love song "Marianne" (1983) by their Magdeburg scene colleagues Restbestand. The iconic Planlos classic "Überall Wohin's Dich Führt" (Everywhere It Leads) is performed by Die Toten Hosen together with Planlos on the B-side.
