Canadian indie rockers Plants And Animals have been together for 20 years and deliver their fifth studio album »The Jungle«. The opener and title track opens with electronic drums that sound like insects in the night, beautiful, complex and disturbing. »House Of Fire«, on the other hand, is yellow strobe light that reflects the disco weirdness of Giorgio Moroder, Donna Summer or David Bowie. And immediately after that, the focus falls on soft slow motion, because every song on »The Jungle« is like an independent landscape.
