Hypnotic and spherical: the only solo album of the Düsseldorf electronic musician. The musical career of Wolfgang Riechmann (1947–1978) began in the 60s. In 1967 he worked with Michael Rother (Neu!) and Wolfgang Flühr (Kraftwerk) in the school band Spirits Of Sound, later in the Düsseldorf amateur band Phön-x and with the group Streetmark. In 1977 he began recording his first and unfortunately only solo album. »Wunderbar« contains elements of the Berlin (Tangerine Dream) and the Düsseldorf School (Kraftwerk, La Düsseldorf, Neu!), but is also reminiscent of Pink Floyd in places. Nevertheless, the multi-instrumentalist creates his own hypnotic and spherical qualities. Product Information Bureau B unearthed an absolute gem of German electronic music from 1978 influenced by Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk and NEU! Sequencer patterns meet synthesizer layers and simple, spherical melodies. Really "wonderful"!
