Robyn has finally announced her new album »Sexistential«, her first since 2018's »Honey«. The album features nine playful pop songs reminiscent of her »Body Talk« trilogy and, according to Robyn, »feel like a spaceship racing through the atmosphere at high speed and crashing«. » So I felt like I had all these experiences when I searched too far in space, and now I'm crashing back into myself." »Sexistential«, co-produced with her long-time companion Klas Åhlund, is haunting and defiant in its exploration of emotional and biological pleasure. The album title was originally created as an inside joke before Robyn realized that it expressed everything she wanted to say. "Exploring my sensuality is the same feeling as if I were writing a good song," she explains. "It's such a beautiful, fine vibration that requires a lot of work to maintain. I feel like the purpose of my life is to stay sensual – it doesn't even have to be about sex, it has to be about feeling sensual and attracted to things that give me pleasure, and nothing else to let those feelings get rid of them."
