After the last album, Derk Akkermann wanted to develop the sound and creative possibilities further and therefore decided to share the songwriting with other musicians. The collaboration with Henrik Wager as lyricist and his support in melody development led to new material with a new sound for a new album. The cooperation between Akkermann and Wager forms the basis for a new line up of SARIS. Further albums are released as a project with guest musicians under the name SARIS. The first of these projects is now the sixth SARIS album »Project: OFF WORLD« with 73 minutes of symphonic progressive rock.The songs on »Project: OFF WORLD« are inspired by the paradigms of today's world. It is about power, politics, paranoia, religion and revenge, technology and temptation, corruption and contradictions, our roots and our escape routes. About our need to protect ourselves from others and sometimes also to protect others from ourselves. The more advanced we become technologically, the more our need for a spiritual center seems to grow. Will we continue to be enlightened, or will we fall back on our primitive instincts? Great music needs great ideas, noble music needs noble thoughts. We have put all our heart and soul into this album and hope that it will accompany you on your path through life.
