Founded in 1996 in the depths of the Bavarian Forest, Seasons In Black have forged their very own path through the metal landscape over almost three decades. What once began as a black metal project in the underground has developed into an independent force that combines elements of death metal, gothic, hardcore, groove and doom into an intense sound that the band itself describes as doomcore - characterized by dark melodies, powerful riffs and raw emotionality. The band is led by the versatile Lucki Maurer – known to many as a TV chef, author and Wagyu breeder, but appreciated in the metal world as an uncompromising singer and bassist. Seasons In Black have taken small underground clubs as well as large festival stages by storm. Their live shows are pure energy, carried by the experience of countless performances at home and abroad. The line-up, which has been stable for many years - Lucki Maurer (vocals/bass), Roman Adam (guitar), Harald Hemauer (drums) and Markus Neumeier (keys/vocals) - was strengthened in 2021 by Leon Hanff on lead guitar. With this new fire in their luggage, the band is now proudly starting their so-called "third spring". As part of the Apostasy Records roster, Seasons In Black are now preparing for their most ambitious work to date: »Anthropocene«, which will be released in the summer of 2025. The album promises a powerful evolution of their signature sound and features guest appearances by Michael Rhein (In Extremo), Michelle Darkness (End Of Green) and even the very first metal performance by Hannes Ringlstetter.
