Product description

Silbermond's sixth studio album is here – and it's been christened "Schritte" (Steps). "Schritte" is also the title of the album's opening track. A breathtaking, deeply personal song that grabs the listener by the throat. With sparing but cleverly placed brushstrokes, the complex picture of a journey of the soul is painted – the biographical arc stretches from the band members' own East German experiences to singer Stefanie Kloß's motherhood. Silbermond open their doors wide, allowing the listener to get very close. With "Leichtes Gepäck" (Light Luggage), the band already demonstrated that courage and artistic development go hand in hand. With the album "Schritte," we encounter a close-knit group of artists who express themselves with complete confidence and poise – and take a stand. Sometimes on very personal issues, sometimes on social ones. Despite the weighty themes the four musicians convey with "Schritte," they never descend into pomp, either musically or lyrically. To be clear without being simplistic – that's a feat few pop poets can achieve. Silbermond, however, have proven themselves to be true masters of this. The result: lightness and depth, euphoria and melancholy. Life is a mixture. And yet, it is the work of an artist to seek a standpoint, to find a stance, within the ephemeral. To touch without preaching. Silbermond achieves precisely this – with their truly exceptional album "Schritte" (Steps). "Schritte" was produced by Alexander Freund, Moritz Enders & Thomas Stolle and recorded at Toolhouse Studio, Rotenburg, and La Fabrique, Saint-Remis de Provence. It is released as a joint venture between Verschwende Deine Zeit (Waste Your Time) and Sony Music.
