Secret favorites and new songs Two years ago, Silly embarked on a special concert tour: On their analogue tour, the German rock icons played a different album by the band on ten evenings in ten cities. AnNa R. and Julia Neigel were part of the party as guest singers. After the tour, the fans' calls for a new album by the band became louder and louder. In 2021 they will be heard: Here is "Instandbesetzt". Ritchie Barton (keyboard), Uwe Hassbecker (guitar) and Jacki Reznicek (bass) went into the band's own studio last year together with AnNa R. and Julia Neigel, where they finally re-recorded ten songs from their catalogue, including less hits than fan favourites and secret favourites, for example "Puppe Otto" and "Die wilde Mathilde" from the 1983 album "Mont Klamott". But that's not all: Silly have also composed three brand new songs for »Instandbesetzt«: »Lautes Schweigen«, »Werden und Vergeh'n« and »Hamsterrad« they are called. The lyrics were written by author Jörn Kalkbrenner and singer-songwriter Max Prosa. The song »Hamsterrad« was already released as the first single release. In addition to the band, an old acquaintance took care of the production of the album with producer Ingo Politz. In addition, Leo Vaessen, Uwe's son, also sat behind the controls.
