The Body's seminal album »Master, We Perish«, originally released in 2013, found the acclaimed duo at a crossroads in their careers. Recorded shortly before the duo of drummer Lee Buford and guitarist/vocalist Chip King left their longtime home of Providence for Portland and released between their breakthrough albums »All the Waters of the Earth Turn to Blood« and »Christs, Redeemers, Master«, the album deepened the duo's penchant for multi-layered soundscapes with more precision and a stronger emphasis on percussive samples than ever before. The seeds of the duo's acclaimed collaboration are evident as the album features Chrissy Wolpert, leader of the Assembly of Light Choir, choir member Reba Mitchell, Otesanek singer Leslie Weitz, and guitarist David Lifrieri. With the expanded edition, the album's distinctive cover image, a painting by Providence-born artist Manifester aka Matt Brinkman (Mindflayer, Forcefield), is finally presented in its original form. »Master, We Perish« is supplemented by rare bonus tracks from the early days of The Body, which come from two rare 7" singles ("Cop Killer/Dead Cops") as well as a split release with Get Killed.
