The Gun (England): Gun (180g) (Limited Numbered Edition) (Smokey Marble Vinyl) LP Neu
In 1968, brothers Paul and Adrian Gurvitz and Louie Farrell founded the British band The Gun, which is considered one of the biggest influences on many hard rock and metal giants of the seventies and eighties. The band emerged in 1965 from the rock band The Knack (not the band from "My Sharona"). Under this name, they have already supported bands such as Pink Floyd, The Crazy World of Arthur Brown and Tomorrow. After the name change in 1967, the band immediately signed with CBS and landed a Top 10 hit in the British singles charts with "Race with the Devil". Although they disbanded in 1970, their influence was enormous. For example, Jimi Hendrix quoted the riff of the hit at his legendary concert at the Isle of Wight Festival. But also Judas Priest, Status Quo and Girlschool covered the band. It's safe to say that The Gun had a huge impact on the British hard rock scene, and their debut album is still considered a must-have for rock collectors. »Gun« is available in a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on Smokey Marble Vinyl.
