The Kooks will release their long-awaited new album "Junk Of The Heart" on September 9th on Virgin Records. Shortly before that, on August 26, the single of the same name will be released. It is the band's third album - written by The Kooks, produced by Tony Hoffer (Beck, Air, Belle & Sebastian) and recorded at The Sound Factory (Los Angeles) and Sarm Studios (London). The record underlines its status as a real album band with the light-footedness characteristic of their sound and hooks with catchy tunes. The album opener starts with a dramatic breakbeat and builds up with acoustic guitar and warm synth waves until it flows into a chorus that you will have in your head for days. The song shows that despite new musical influences, the band can still write hammer hooks and incomparable pop songs without further ado.
