Two concerts from 1990 and 1995 that span a gripping arc over the heyday of the cult band. Parallel to the very successful albums »God's Own Medicine« (1986), »Children« (1988) and above all »Carved In Sand« (1989), the formation The Mission, which emerged from the original line-up of Sisters Of Mercy, established itself as an unmistakable live band. The group experienced its first zenith after the release of »Carved In Sand«. The album, which contained a gigantic hit with »Butterfly On A Wheel«, made the group a celebrated stadium band. At this time, the first concert of this set took place as part of the »Deliverance« tour on November 24, 1990 in Düsseldorf's Philipshalle, almost with the original line-up. It is characterized by a great joy of playing. In addition to classics such as »Severina«, »Butterfly On A Wheel« and »Tower Of Strength«, the Brits also presented a congenial cover of the Neil Young song »Like A Hurricane«. The concert, which was recorded almost five years later at the same venue, is a good example of the band's versatility: from the original line-up, in addition to frontman and band founder Wayne Hussey, only drummer Mick Brown was on board, Mark Thwaite (Spear Of Destiny), Rik Carter and Andy Cousin (All About Eve) completed the line-up. Despite the line-up change, the boys still offered a powerful performance.
