The single "Ich nimmt das Amt nicht an" (I'm Not Accepting the Office) relies on a powerful riff, a driving beat, and an energy inspired by greats like Jack White or T. Rex. Singer and frontman Frank Spilker describes the song as "riff rock" – an outlet for the irrationality and refusal to engage in discourse that characterize our time. Lyrically, the song addresses the resurgence of the irrational: the loss of argument-driven debates, the abandonment of facts, and the escalations that have long since erupt into violence. Spilker's writing is sharp, ironic and at the same time frighteningly topical - demonstrating once again how precisely Die Sterne translate social developments into music.
