Twenty years and five albums later, The Subways celebrate their 20th anniversary with "When I'm With You," a selection of singles and fan favorites from their journey so far, while also looking to the future with two brand-new songs. They've also announced a major UK and European tour, "The Subways For Eternity," to mark the occasion. "When I'm With You" opens with their debut single, "Oh Yeah," and the track listing captures the energy and dynamism of a live set—the environment where the band truly shines. Every moment of their journey so far is represented, from early highlights like "With You," "I Want To Hear What You Have Got To Say," and "Kalifornia," through mid-era fan favorites and live classics like "We Don't Need Money To Have A Good Time" and "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang," to key tracks from their acclaimed 2023 album "Uncertain Joys," such as the title track and "You Kill My Cool." The set concludes with the classic "Rock & Roll Queen." The song's cultural impact has been immense, with appearances in Guy Ritchie's "RocknRolla" and the hit teen drama "The OC," and the soundtrack for a major Rimmel campaign starring Kate Moss. One of their biggest promotional moments was an appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman" in the US. And that wasn't an isolated incident, as they also stormed onto "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" and "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" with "Oh Yeah." The compilation also includes new material. There are two new songs: "I Need To Feel You Closer," which premiered at last year's live shows, and "Passenger's Side." The new recordings also mark the album debut of drummer Camille Phillips. She joined founding members Billy Lunn (vocals/guitar) and Charlotte Cooper (vocals/bass) in 2023 after original drummer Josh Morgan left the band for family reasons. The collection showcases the band's work with some of the most influential producers, including Butch Vig (Nirvana, Foo Fighters), Stephen Street (The Smiths, Blur), and Ian Broudie of The Lightning Seeds (Echo & The Bunnymen, The Coral). The tracks from their self-titled album and "Uncertain Joys" were produced by Billy Lunn. Billy says: "Reaching 20 years is special in itself for us, as it means we've been doing what we love so much for so long. But the real testament to the joy we've experienced over the last two decades is the friends we've made along the way. Seeing old and new faces in the crowd at our shows means everything to us. We'd be nothing without our fans, and we love that The Subways' songs are as much theirs as they are ours. We want to celebrate this milestone with them, and we can't wait to do so in the chaos of the mosh pits on the upcoming tour!" Charlotte adds: "We've been on this wild ride for 20 years now, and I've so enjoyed looking back on all the things we've been a part of. I've loved it all, from the small, sweaty gigs to the big festival stages. Seeing the world." Making albums I'm very proud of. Forging lasting friendships. We're so excited to celebrate with the fans who have supported us all along. Those who have been coming to the concerts for years; those who are now bringing their children! We are incredibly grateful and we are the luckiest people. See you on the front line!« Ian Broudie reflects on his work with The Subways: »It has been a great pleasure for me to work with The Subways on their debut album ›Youn
