May 27, 2024, was a special day in the history of DER W. In Berlin's magnificent Admiralspalast, the band played one of their most emotional concerts of their nearly sold-out acoustic tour. Sixteen years after their gold-certified debut, DER W took to the stage for the first time in a style woven from quiet tones, accompanied by a string ensemble that elevated the songs to new dimensions. Stripped of their usual armor of sound and noise, frontman Stephan Weidner presented himself emotionally bare, and together with the fans, powerful moments were created, a blend of soaring freedom and profound emotion. Tears, cheers, silence, and pure energy characterized the evening: More than 10,000 people experienced the band like never before.
