Thee Headcoats: The Sherlock Holmes Rhythm 'N' Beat Vernacular CD Neu
»The Undisputed Kings of Garage Rock« are back! Two years after their 2023 album »Irregularis (The Great Hiatus)«, Thee Headcoats are back with a new record that seamlessly joins the ranks of their best albums from the 1990s. We proudly present to you »The Sherlock Holmes Rhythm 'n' Beat Vernacular«. Featuring 12 fantastic pieces (or songs, if you will) recorded last year at Ranscombe Studios in Rochester. »The Sherlock Holmes Rhythm 'n' Beat Vernacular« will be released on the same day as »Man-Trap«, the brand new album by Thee Headcoatees, on which the guys act as a backing band. Thee Headcoats is one of the many music groups led by Billy Childish and (as far as we know) his most prolific to date. No wonder, considering Billy's tireless creativity and his full release schedule. Thee Headcoats play hard R&B, rock 'n' roll and punk rock, influenced by the early Kinks, Pretty Things and especially The Downliners Sect, with an added sense of humor shaped by Bruce, the drummer's penchant for deerstalker hats. Thee Headcoats established their style on their first LP »Headcoats Down« [Hangman, 1988] and continued it with »The Earls of Suavedom« [Crypt, 1989] and »Heavens to Murgatroyd, Even! It's Thee Headcoats! (Already)« [SubPop, 1990]. Later albums like 1998's »The Messerschmitt Pilot's Severed Hand« revealed a leaner, more punky sound, but the boys stayed true to their raw, '60s-inspired R&B and sounded essentially unchanged on their 2023 comeback masterpiece »Irregularis
