To celebrate their 35th anniversary, Dritte Wahl aren't releasing a run-of-the-mill best-of compilation, but rather their brand-new album, "Urlaub in der Bredouille" (Holiday in a Pickle). That's just how the punk rockers from Rostock are. Always full of energy and brimming with ideas.

That's why the quartet's twelfth full-length album is brimming with energetic riffs, catchy melodies, and clever lyrics. Thematically, Dritte Wahl remain firmly in tune with the times. Many current issues are reflected in the band's lyrics. "We're shooting the billionaires into space," for example, comments on the trend of the super-rich vacationing in space and suggests they skip the return flight. And "No Time for White Flags" calls for the fight against oppression in the world not to be abandoned.

Musically, the journey spans the punk, metal, and indie worlds. With ska beats and heavy guitars, Dritte Wahl signal that they are far from finished.
