The Düsseldorf electronic formation Kraftwerk is without doubt one of the most influential and style-defining innovators within recent pop music. Their aesthetic, characterized by cool synthesizer sound and minimalist lyrics, has been the reference point for a wide variety of musicians and producers for several decades. Kraftwerk's intermedial production aesthetic is decisively influenced by conceptual approaches of contemporary art and thus gains a contour that goes beyond the conventional framing of pop music.
