Remember the puppy found on the side of the road in March 2024? That's her. She lay for over a week with broken paws without food or water. Perhaps the fact that she was licking blood from her wounds kept her alive. It's possible someone dumped her there after the accident. She looked as if she'd been ground up by a car. Unfortunately, surgery on her severely broken paw didn't restore her mobility. Due to Diunka's general condition, the procedure couldn't be performed quickly. Her paw is shorter. What is Diunka like now? Curious, unruly, and sometimes rebellious. I attribute this to her age, but she has a strong personality. She loves people and other dogs, and she thrives among them. She has boundless energy. Unfortunately, she's still afraid of moving cars. The bad memories remain. It's been almost six months, and Diunka still doesn't have a home of her own. Time is working against her. She's becoming attached to places, people, and the dogs she spends time with. She needs to find a home. A nice, caring one, and one with another dog(s).
